New whale discovered in the Gulf of Mexico Thursday

The corpse of a new species, now named Rice's Whale, was discovered on a beach in the gulf of Mexico. The necropsy revealed nothing about the whale's diet as a large piece of plastic was lodged in the whale's digestive system and the whale had stopped feeding.

The whale is now thought to be endangered, research is still being conducted to find out more about the new species.
